Harmonica Player born in 1989

 

Ofir Ventura is a harmonica player, endorser of Seydel harmonicas, and BlowsMeAway microphones. She specializes in Blues, Rock and Folk. Ventura currently lives in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Ofir strated studying music at the age of 6. At the age of 16, she discovered her love for the harmonica and the blues.

 

Ofir is a true blues woman and her influences come from different genres - Delta blues, modern British blues, Americana, Folk, Bluegrass and Rock and Roll.

 

As a frequent international touring artist, Ofir has performed all over Israel in venues, festivals, and has done guest appearances and studio recordings with many artists such as Mashina, Gal De Paz, The Blues Messengers, Full Trunk, Diana Golbi, Ari Gorali, and more. She also participated in opening acts for the international artists Beth Hart, Cedric Burnside Project, and Lurrie Bell.

 

Since 2016, Ofir is a band member of the Israeli band OSOG. She also contributed to the band's upcoming album and toured with the band in Canada and US. The band performed in the well known festivals CMW and SXSW.

From 2010 to 2018, Ofir has played in an Israeli blues rock band “Electric Blue,” and in 2014, recorded their debut album at Bardo Studios & the second at Jaffa Sounds. 

 

From 2011 to 2013, Ofir played in the Ori Naftaly Band where she won the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Israel for best blues band in Israel. She worked on their album “A True Friend is Hard to Find” which was recorded at Luna Studios. She was also nominated twice in 2014: once with Electric Blue and once with Full Trunk bands where she advanced to the finals. Ventura is a contributor to the Urban Book Circle based in Canada.
